Week 8-March 27

So the 10 year old girl as of now isnt getting baptized, but we should be teaching her again this week and hopefully then we can set up a date and all that good stuff. Last week probably has been the haredest week of the mission so far. for the first half of the week I really couldnt walk, I really hurt it but its finally starting to get better. We didnt meet any of the goals we had set because I really couldnt do much. but this week is going to be a better week. It is the last week of the transfer. I have been here in temecula for 5 weeks today its so crazy how time flies! Wednesday was my companions birthday so we kinda had a little birthday party for him at district meeting. We also went to a members house and we opened the package that he got. We have been trying to stay as busy as possible but its hard with a bum ankle. this morning a member from the ysa branch made us breakfast and took us hiking it was tons of fun, but it really hurt my ankle. We have been becoming good friends with the ysa so thats been fun. Thats so cool that they all got their mission calls! you should tell them all to write me, Especially andrew since he's leaving. So funny story, Last week I was on exchanges with my district leader, elder blake and we were out contacting and talking to people and this one guy had just pulled into his garage so we were walking up to talk to to him and we tried starting the conversation with him and he just looked at us and closed his garage it was super funny how it happened. Sunday we got poured on, it rained for like 3 hours strait. Im pretty sure it rained at least 3 inches. Its been fun walking around in the rain. the jacket i got form mr.mac works great. Will you write me a letter and send it to the address above asap and tell me what brits boyfriend said, it is really bugging me. I really want to know. I dont think theres anything i can think of right now but anything really is great. I love just getting letters and all that good stuff. I am so excited for conference this weekend but im going to miss the tradition of going to get ice cream, but im going to talk elder blakely into doing it. Week 7- March 20th

So this week has been pretty good. Nothing to exciting going on. Last Friday i went on exchanges with the zone leaders. I was with Elder Singly, he is from Sugar house, and he will be going home at the end of this transfer that ends the tuesday after conference. Its so crazy I have been in california for just about a month. I cant believe how much time flies. So crazy funny story for ya. We have kinda been teaching this girl who is 10 years old she has met with the missionaries for a while now but now shes really gotten interested. Elder blakely and I taught her the first lesson and invited her to be baptized, and her mom said that she needed some time to think about it. so for the past like 3 weeks we have been trying to set up a lesson with her and see if she has made a decsion. Sunday at church a member of the ward came up to us and asked us if we had talked to her lately. we said no and she said well you better go talk to her soon. come to find out she already has a date that she wants to be baptized on so we are going to meet with her this week and find out the real details. so there might be a baptism in the ward in the next month or so. We havent been teaching to much lately, we have been doing a lot of contacting and inactive member visits. Yesterday morning we were playing basketball after our run and I rolled my ankel pretty bad. all day yesterday i could barely walk today i can walk a little more but it still hurts. but itll get better over time. I have been icing it and trying to rest it as much as possible but there really isnt time to rest it when youre working. Elder Blakely and I are singing in the ysa choir for easter its pretty funny. The people in the ward and the branch are awesome. the elders qurom president in the ysa branch is going to take us golfing sometime which is way sweet. .Thats so crazy that andrews farewell was yesterday. When does he leave again? Thats funny brit has a boyfriend I will definitely be talking with her. Your welcome for the pictures I thought it would be cool to just send a couple home. Week 6-March 13 2012

Well another week gone by. Time has just been flying by, I guess thats what happens when your having fun! This past week has been a good week. We're staying super busy. We havent really been teaching to much tho which is kind of disappointing. We have 2 families that are investigating the churh, One family is basically ready to be baptized. The mom goes visiting teaching and they pay their tithing. The joke we have is they're dry mormons and we just need to dunck them, but theyll come around in their own time. The other family is a part mamber family, the dad is an inactive member and has been away from the church since he was like 14 so we're working on getting them back. Im not to good at teaching yet, but I know it will come with time. I have been meeting tons of great people. We dont do any tracting, because its not effective at all, but we have been doing a lot of caontacting. Im not to great at it yet but im working on it. I have gotten a lot better at talking with people tho which is definitely good. Part of the area I am in is called wine country. Theres a ton of winerys and vineyards. I cant wait to see what it looks like when the grapes are in season. People live in wine country so we head out there a little bit, mostly just for dinners usually, so we're not wasting our miles. Sunday we had President Cook come and speak in our sacrament meeting. He is so great. He spoke on members being missionaries. Everytime I hear him talk I swear hes a general authority. His talks are always great. He basically threw down on the members and told them things they needed to do. one thing he said that I really like, He said, " We need to change the nature of our prayers. Instead of praying for the missionaries we need to be praying for oppurtunities that we can have to be missionaries and find people for the missionaries to teach." I thought that was way cool. Yesterday I got a letter from Felicia, it was a great letter! I also got a package from grandma. It was so great to finally get mail It always makes the days better. I also got a letter last week from the stake. So mom why wont you just get better I bet its no fun being sick. Have you been going to work at all? That sucks that its pnemonia. Youre welcome for the letter I forgot to ask in my email so I figured why not send a letter. One from mr.macs will be fine. It doesnt matter when you send the package Im not in any hurry to get any of that stuff. I am doing so great staying busy and basically just loving life! the weather here is always warm and sunny which is definitely good, but i really do miss the snow and all that fun stuff. The day light savings the other day pretty much was ridiculous. I dont think theres anything you can do for me right now I think I am fine for now but I will let you know if i need anything. Week 5- March 5, 2012

I did get you letter last week sorry I didnt answer any of the questions my computer was being weird. I am doing good, I think I am finally realizing that I am on a mission and its actually starting to scare me, But i still am loving it. California is pretty good the weather here in temecula is crazy weird, kinda like utah but utahs is better. the days are always super warm and great but the nights get really cold. You need to quit getting sick! do you know what youre sick with? The food is actually super great I really havent had to eat anything crazy weird yet, but I am preparing for it. I have been fed really well so i dont think I havent lost any weight, but I dont know cause I dont have a scale. Thats cool shawn got his call that sounds like a cool place. I havent gotten any letters which is kinda disappointing, but oh well what do you do. Thats so cool wyatts taking that, its cool he ahd dad give him a blessing. my companions way cool we always have a great time. So last saturday I went on my first exchanges, it was pretty interesting but it was cool, saturday night while on exchanges we met this lady in a parking lot at a grocery store, she seemed like a nice lady but she was questioning a lot of things that our church did and bringing up some anti stuff and it kinda scared me because since I have been here I havent felt the spirit leave so fast so that was my scary experiance of the week. the ward I am in is so great. the people are awesome. last week we taught a 10 year old girl and she might be baptized. we havent been doing to much teaching, but thasts okay. I am definitely getting better at talking with people, because we are supposed to talk with everyone. Thanks for everything mom I LOVE you and miss you! have a good week.
