Week 16- May 29

I am doing good. just staying busy working hard. This week has been a good week. Its been pretty busy.

Yesterday, we put in a garden for a member of our ward and while we were doing that we were talking and come to find out he knows wasatch and dell loy and all that good stuff so we talked about that for a good little bit. It was really cool. After we put in the garden we went to another members house and trimmed roses for her, and while we were doing that we found out that she is the one who started seven peaks water park in provo.

  Saturday we layed sod for a member of the ward. we laid 3200 square feet. It was pretty cool because they pretty much had no idea what they were doing and they were just going to wing it, but before the sod got there we were talking with them and they found out that I have been doing landscaping for a while and I knew how to do it. It was really cool to get to help.

   Last Thursday we went and worked out on one of our members tree farms. He has 80 acres and about 9000 trees. While we were out there we moved plants around with his john deere tractor and weeded and dug a trench. while we were moving the plants I got to drive the tractor a Little bit. It was so much fun!

   Wednesday I went on exchanges with elder risk, My mtc Companion. that was pretty fun. I dont remeber if I told you this or not, But elder risk lives in the same apartment as me, So its pretty cool to get to hang out with him again.

My tooth is doing good. I have a temporary crown on right now. I have to go back on june 12th to get the real one. Its so cool how nice the members are to the missionaries. The dentist that did it, was the new one up by walmart. That so cool that school is almost over! How is wyatt and austin doing? Did they stick to the goal? Thats really cool that you are running! Does your foot hurt when you run? I cant believe you got a dog, but then again I can. That goes along with my theory, That when ever someone leaves they get replaced by an animal. Haha just kidding  The dog looks like a cool little dog. Is it an Inside or outside dog? Thats awesome that dad took you to ruths chris. was it good? Happy aniversary! Love You! Have a good week! Week 15- May 22

I am doing really good. This week has been a great week! But it has been a really long week! A lot of great things have happened. '

Yesterday, We had zone conference down in Vista, it was really good we got a lot of great trainings. This weekend was really great! Saturday we did have the baptism, the husband and wife were both baptized. It was such a great baptism! The spirit was so strong there! President Cook came up for the baptism so that was really cool. for the baptism we really didnt do anything it was all the ward which is really good, but we both stood in the circle when they were confirmed and that was really awesome, and I also said the closing prayer in sacrament meeting.

So you know how I told you that my crwne fell out? well anyway, Friday I got it glued back on, and when I got it glued on, the dentist that did it, who is the bishop in the ward I am over said that he wouldnt be surprised if it fell out again because the dentist that did it the first time did it wrong. So saturday after the baptism we were at a members home having dinner with everyone who was at the baptism and the crowne fell off again and bishop was there so I showed him and he said to schedule an appointment at his office and he will fix it right. And that is what we did this morning, we went and he worked on fixing my tooth right. He is making me a whole new crowne. Sunday night there was a stake priesthood meeting. It was such a great meeting! we were given a lot of great counsel on how we can be better priesthood holders. Oh man, dinner sunday night just about killed me. EElder blakely and I both at a steak that was as big as the dinner plates we have at home. It probably weighed about 3 pounds. It was an Insane amount of meat! And Other than that just trying to find more people to teach.

 

Thats so awesome that you are running! How far are you running? Thats so crazy that you guys are getting a puppy. What kind is it?
In that package that you are sending can you put my drum pad in it, if theres it it doenst it doesnt matter.

 

This past week my testimony has really strengthened. seeing that family get baptized was really amazing. I know that baptism is the gateway to return to live with our Heavenly Father and being a missionary, and helping them make that covenant is just an amazing experiance, and now we are working them towards the temple and hopefully a year from now they will be seiled together for time and all eternity. I know that this is our Heavenly Fathers church, and I know that I am only sacrificing a little for others to have so much.

Week 14- May 15th

It was so great to talk to you! I don't think we need to pay their phone bill, they were really happy to let me talk to you guys. They are a great family! I cant remember what I asked for, umm will you send me razor blades for the fusion, same one as dads? So with my crown falling off, the mission medical doesnt pay for it so I will need to. The bishop here in the ward that I am over is a dentist so I am going to see how much he will do it for and also sister cook said that if we had dental insurence you could look up a dentist here in temecula that I could go to. But hopefully the bishop can do it for cheep. So funny story, Last night we went over to a members house to have a lesson, and when we were sitting down to have the lesson one of the boys in the family moved a pillow and found a dead bird, just sitting there under the pillow. It was so funny because it freaked them out. 
Thats so cool that you guys got into the marathon thats so exciting you guys are going to do great! dont be nervous I know you can do it. Thanks for everything Love you mom!

Phone Call Home

Greatest Phone Call

Cody called Mothers Day evening. We tried skyping but our internet was to slow so instead we talked on the phone for 2 1/2 hours. It was best night of I think my whole families for awhile anyway. He is so happy and had so many different stories to tell us and he asked us a lot of questions as well as us asking him some. He is staying in Temecula for another transfer so he has been there since the beginning of his mission. He is there with his companion Elder Blakely who will be finishing his mission with Cody and goes home next transfer. Cody loves what he is doing and is growing each and everyday. You can tell he is just so happy from the tone in his voice. We all miss him, but we know he is doing a great thing and we are so unbelievably proud of him. 

May 8 Week 14

This past week has been a good week. This morning we spent some time down in San Diego. We got to go the the Temple. That is such an amazing temple! It is huge. It was a little different leaving Temecula but it was really cool to go down there!

Im doing good, trying to stay busy. We arent doing to much teaching which is a little disappointing but we are working on it. Two of our investigators will be getting baptized here on the 19th of May. Its so cool. Its going to be my first 2 baptisms. Im so excited, we have been working with them since I got into the area. Last week we were able to do service everyday. Yesterday we trimmed trees for a less active family in the ward, and we got to use a chain saw so that was pretty fun. Its awesome knowing how to do all these things we've been able to get service a little bit easier.

Elder blakely goes home June 26 I believe, next transfer is his last one. Transfers are next Tuesday and I will find out if I am going to be getting transfered Saturday night and I will let you know on Sunday when I call. I dont Know when I am going to be calling and I might even skype I havent

figured everything out yet but I will let you know whats going to happen.

Im A little bit nervous and excited.

Thats cool you are walking, And that would be way sweet if you made the lotery for the marathon. Thats cool Brits not dating him anymore, I kinda figured something was up. Thats really cool that it was her that did it. Wyatt and Austin sound like theyre doing the same as ever.  Thats cool christians been busy! I did hear about the jazz, There are a couple boys in the ward who are huge basketball fans and they let us know all the scores and up dates, so thats pretty funny.

I really dont have any requests for that package, Just if you are going to send it to that one address can you send it no later than Thursday because I dont know whats going to be happening with transfers and everything like that. Thank you!

Week 13- May 1st

3 Month Mark!

I am doing good. This past week has been a pretty long week. Last Saturday we did service for most of the day.  We did a thing called mormon helping hands, thats were the whole stake gets together and does a large service project for the community. It was pretty cool. We painted a fence that was about three quarters of a mile long. It was really fun. Last Saturday night we went to a young womens fundraiser, it was a spaghetti dinner, that was really fun. Last night we changed a track on a mini excavator with one of the members of the ward. That was really cool! I think thats really all the exciting stuff that has been happening. That guy we did service for still hasnt gotten  back to us so we're still just waiting. Mothers day. . . um I really have no idea right now, but when I find out I will let you know. My running shoes are blue asic 2150's, they have the weird gray thing under the arch.

Thats so crazy that they are taking apart the truck! Im pretty much jealous! It looks like a ton of fun!

Oh so I have a funny story for you. Last week we went to go visit a less active member of the ward and we were sitting there talking with him and he asked if we would like some water, of course we said yes. so he went in and came out with 2 water bottles. he handed me mine and it was partially empty and the top seal had already been broken, I didnt end up drinking it but it was funny athat he just refills  the bottles.

Last night we taught a new member lesson to this lady that was baptized in January. She is 93 years old. It was a really cool lesson, Because she kind of forgets things and asks them same questions. but overall it was a good lesson. We have taught seminary a couple times in the past week. Seminary here is a lot different then it is at home. IT is held in the morning at the church and the teachers are called so its a calling. Its pretty crazy but its cool.
