Week 51- Jan 29

Well first things first, I have been transferred to the La Costa area, which is basically in the city of Carlsbad, but it is in the Del Mar stake. I have been assigned to be the zone leader with my companion over the Del Mar Zone. My companion is from Virginia he's a pretty cool guy. Its definitely been transition trying to get to know the new area and also trying to figure out what I am supposed to be doing as a zone leader. This past week has been a pretty long week to say the least. We are busy every hour of every day. This transfer is going to be an interesting one, because with all the things that are changing with missionaries and the MTC they had to take a week out so it will only be 5 weeks instead of 6. So that means that my mission is going to be a week shorter which is a bummer.

This week has been very busy like I said. We have been doing a lot of things for the zone, we have had tons of lessons, and on top of that we have been going on exchanges. It is interesting being a zone leader because we get to do exchanges a lot. We went on 2 last week and we will be going on 2 more this week. It is cool to see how other missionaries work and how I can help them. It is a lot of fun, but it also is a lot of responsibility. There are 2 districts in the zone, and there are 12 missionaries in the zone.

I have yet to meet really anyone in the ward, because this past week was stake conference, I know I told you that last week but I went to another one in the stake I am now serving in. It was pretty cool, because we got a new stake president. The other one got called on a mission to be a mission president. It was a cool meeting. There were 2 general authorities there. It was a really good meeting.

There are a lot of investigators here, which is pretty cool to see. So we have been pretty busy teaching which is always good. We teach this one investigator every night. It is pretty interesting meeting with someone everyday but its cool to see how much they want to learn. Hopefully he will be baptized sometime in February.

The people here are so much different than they were up in Ladera ranch. There are still some rude people and people that don't want to talk to us, but the people here aren't as busy it seems. Maybe that's because there are more retired people and not as many young families. It is going to be interesting to serve here but it is going to be good. I know I am here for a reason.

Man the weather there sounds so exciting. A lot more than it is here. The weather has been pretty much the same (sunny) but there have been a couple of rainy days. I really miss the snow and the cold. That sounds like a good winter back in Utah. How much snow is up in t he Mountains? That's so cool to hear that Del Loy now owns the whole team, that is awesome. Are you guys going to be going to more games now? That's funny that dad's not used to them yet. Does he have to wear them all the time? How is the Book of Mormon reading been coming? good I hope!

Thanks for everything you do mom! You are great! I Love You!! Have a great week!

Love, Elder RINDLISBACHER
