Week 52- February 5

It is incredible how time does you loose track of time. Time goes by way to fast, especially when you are busy. I can't believe that it is already February.

So being a Zone leader is tons of fun, but it is really busy, there is no time to do anything. There needs to be more hours in the day. The new companion is pretty good, It has been interesting trying to adjust to so many new things. But is has been good and I have learned a lot.

This past week has been a really busy week. Last Friday was my first zone leader council. That was a really cool experience. Zone leader council is a meeting where all the zone leaders get together and discuss the work and how to better help the missionaries in the mission. President Cook and the Assistants give training's on things that they feel the missionaries need to work on. This time we were trained on planning and goal setting. It was a great meeting, the spirit was very strong. At the end President asked a couple missionaries to bear their testimony. After the meeting President gave Sister Cook permission To give us all a hug. Sister Cook said that that has never happened before. It was pretty cool. It was a great meeting, I learned a lot. Now that we had all the training's it is our responsibility to take them back to the missionaries in the zone, so we will be having a zone training meeting this Thursday. It is going to be very interesting. We have been very busy preparing for it. Life as a zone leader is pretty busy, but it is fun.

The area that I am in now has a lot going on in it. We are teaching a lot of investigators which is really cool. We are teaching this one young man every night. He is preparing for baptism on the 16th of this month. Its been pretty tough teaching him, because they always go off on random tangents, but we still tend to get something taught. On Sunday we had a very interesting lesson with another investigator. We dropped by to see if we could set up a time to come by and they ended up letting us in and we had a lesson while the Superbowl was on in the other room. It was a good lesson but it was funny because you could hear her husband every couple of minutes cheer. It was quite the experience.

Sunday was my first real Sunday in the new area, so I was finally able to meet members of the ward. Its always great going to a new area and having people try to pronounce you name. Most people either slaughter it or they don't try at all. It is always entertaining when it happens. I tend to get a good laugh out of it. Saturday I went on exchanges with one of the Assistants up to Vista. That was a ton of fun. It was quite the experience. That night we were having a lesson with a lady that is returning to activity, and while we were having the lesson the lady's daughter came home and basically flipped she was cussing up a storm, arguing with everyone, and just being angry. I don't think I have ever heard so many f bombs in my life. It was quite the adventure. Come to find out the daughter was on drugs. On the drive back to my area the assistant Elder Knavel and I were talking and I guess that's not an uncommon occurrence at that home.

That's so crazy that Bret is already leaving on his mission. You should definitely go and tell everyone I said hi. Where is his sister going? That is crazy, they are going to have 3 missionaries out at the same time. That's awesome that Austin is getting new glasses. That's great to hear that you are starting to run again. How is your foot doing? How is the Book of Mormon reading coming?

Thanks for everything mom! I Love You! Have a great week!

Love, Elder RINDLISBACHER
