Saturday was pretty cool, we had a Baptism. We figured everything out and he ws able to be baptized. It was a really cool baptism. All the doubts we had about him getting baptized went away at the service. It didn't go as we planned, because the family who is less active that he lives with wasn't there when we started, so we had to do some improv while we were waiting for them. The young mens president bore his testimony. That was really good, because their relationship was kind of rocky but it solidified it. There was so many people there it was standing room only. I was going to send pictures, but I forgot my camera and card reader so next week I will send pictures.
Sunday, we were walking down the road to the ward mission leaders house and this car pulled up and started talking to us. They were members from up in the LA area and there were down here because the husband is a private investigator and they were on a case. As we were talking we asked them if we could help and they said that we could knock on the door to see if this guy was home. So we went with them to the house and we knocked on the door but no one was home. As we were walking away a car pulled up so we did the usual and we went and talked with him. He didn't want to have anything to do with us so he walked away from us, and as he was doing so he told us a bunch of things to do to be more spiritual and come to find out thats what the private investigator was looking for. I felt like Psych. It was pretty cool.
Friday we had lunch with the stake president of the Del mar stake and the high councilor over missionary work. The stake president has only been the stake president for a couple of weeks now, so we were talking about his vision for the stake. He was a mission president so missionary work is a high priority for him. We are going to see a lot of good things happen here.
Is there anything I can do to help you guys read the Book of Mormon? Thanks for everything Mom! I Love You!! Have a great week!
Love, Elder RINDLISBACHER
