Week 56- March 5

Everything is going pretty good. We are staying really busy. There has been a lot that has been going on. We have been seeing a lot of miracles which is really awesome! Time is really flying by. I can't believe that it is already March. It is incredible how the days feel so slow but the weeks go by so fast. The days feel like weeks and the weeks feel like days.

This past week end was quite the adventure. Friday we had zone leader council where we received training on things we need to train the missionaries in the zone on. Also while we were there we found out that the Carlsbad mission is going to be getting smaller in July. They are creating a new mission called the Irvine mission in July and they will be taking all 4 of the orange county stakes from our mission and 2 stakes from the Anaheim mission to create it. The missionaries in orange county at that time will switch over to that mission. Also both missions will be getting new mission presidents. It is going to be interesting to see what happens come July. I hope I don't switch missions, but I'll go where the Lord needs me. Right now 33 percent of the Carlsbad mission have been out for under 3 months so we have a lot of training to do to help them all. We are staying busy with all the changes going on. Church headquarters has asked President Cook to facilitate Creating the new mission, so he has to find housing and staff and a mission office, along with zone leaders and assistants to help the new mission president. It is going to be interesting.

Saturday we had just gotten out of a lesson and we were sitting in our car making some phone calls. While we were there a guy was walking around our car aimlessly, so my companion jumped out and talked with him while I was on the phone. While they were talking he asked if he could come to church with us. He of course said yes. Sunday morning my companion and the ward mission leader went and picked him up. He stayed at church for all 3 hours. After church we had a lesson with him. The crazy thing is that he is Mongolian and doesn't speak much English. But we have 2 missionaries in the mission that were assigned to go to Mongolia and were here waiting on a visa but they were denied and they were reassigned to our mission. They are both serving in the stake to the north of us so one came down and taught him in Mongolian. They will continue to teach him but he will come to our ward.

Sunday was also very interesting. The young man that was baptized a couple weeks ago and his less active friend were getting upset at the pictures if Christ in the Church. They are both black and they said they were offended by the pictures so there were a few ward members that were trying to talk with them and it was getting kind of heated. The Bishop came and grabbed the Recent Convert and they talked in his office for about 40 minutes. It was quite the scene. This concern has come up a lot with us so its been interesting teaching them. But they are both still doing pretty good.

The weather sounds pretty awesome there. Is there still snow on the ground? That's crazy that you got new computers at work. Are they better or worse than the old ones? Speaking of work, I keep running into people who know Wasatch and know people that works for them. There is actually a guy in the ward here that finances properties for Wasatch and he works with the a couple people from Ladera Ranch. It is such a small world.

Thanks for everything Mom! I hope you have a great week! Love You!!

Love, Elder RINDLISBACHER
